I have a AS degree in Computer Science from Salt Lake community College. I have a BS in Computer Science, with emphasis in Software Engineering, from Weber State University. It has been 5 years now since finishing my degree. I have a good job doing what I enjoy. I am a programmer working on web development where most of my skills are in back end programming using databases to create dynamic code. The web is a popular form of programing and my friends and family keep coming to me to help them create a site. I am great at back end, but can’t design the fancy front end to save my life. My return to school is an attempt to learn how to do that front end design.
My first class in my attempt to get a Visual Arts/Multi Media degree is ART 1110 foundation drawing. It is an eye opener to my world of art. I never had a desire to do art (programming was the only desire I ever had since I was 8 years old) but this class has been a interesting introduction to art and I hope that I can complete my studies and learn that visual eye to sharpen my front end skills.
